After at least a dozen different, unsatisfactory versions, biteharderpress.com is finally launched! It is by no means perfect and is certainly much simpler than I had anticipated. However, because my press is in its nascent stages, I am sure this website will grow with the press as it finds its voice and identity. For now, this simple thing will have to do.
I am heavily indebted to Jason Dewinetz at Greenboathouse Press for all his help and teaching me how to print, as well as Megan Perra at Feral Five Creative Co. for the beautiful logo she drew for me many moons ago and which I am finally putting to use. I also owe a huge debt of gratitude to Karis Shearer for her work as my academic supervisor and for teaching me so much about the nuances of publishing in Canada. She also let me make Contusion for a graduate course instead of writing a paper, so she gets some serious brownie points. Finally, I am thankful for everyone else who has encouraged and supported my press and my work. Thank you!
As for the next steps, I am currently drafting a call for submissions for a poetry broadsheet series, so stay tuned!
