Bite Harder Press is currently calling for submissions for its first series of poetry broadsides entitled The Feral Broadsheets. Submissions should interact with the notion of ferality (not quite tame, not quite wild) though this theme can be broadly interpreted to mean a state of being in between. We do not accept simultaneous submissions, but we do accept previously published works. Bite Harder Press retains only one-time rights to print. The author, in exchange for their work, will receive five of the letterpress-printed broadsheets to distribute, retain, or sell as they wish (edition is to be determined but likely around 60 copies). Please note that due to the letterpress process and the fact that this is a part-time press the turnaround on these broadsheets may be significant. If this is a concern to you, please do not submit.
Submissions should include no more than three poems for consideration (but preferably only one that perfectly suits the theme) and each poem should be set in 12-point Times New Roman font. The poems should be in a single word document or pdf with your name in the file name. A brief biography (no longer than 100 words) should accompany the poems, but no external explanations of the poems should be present. The works should speak for themselves. Please review the press’s aesthetics and mandate on our website before submitting.
